For over 20 years Generacion has been providing street children streets with homes where they are loved, cared for, and supported. In working towards bettering the lives of children in Lima, it is essential that we provide them with a safe place where their physical needs can be met. Bringing opportunity to children who are living on the streets is a much more complicated situation – for example, to get a child to go to school while he is continuing to live on the streets is almost an impossible challenge, as the streets bring challenges and influences that are very heavy upon the child. Therefore, Generacion has made it a priority to bring as many children into these safehomes as possible.
