Recently a girl, Veronica lost her life.

Veronica vas a girl living on the streets. In vinter last year she took contact to Generacion because she wanted to get out of the situation she was in. For some time she had been in prostitution, trying to get trough the life in the streets. Because Generacion lacked houses and therefore were unable to house her, we had to release Veronica back to the streets. One week later, her tiny body was found in a hotel room, strangled to death by one of the men she’d been forced to have sex with.

Veronica’s death has affected many, and shocked our supports all over the world. Therefore Generacions and their support partner, Not for Sale, have worked to set up an emergency shelter and safe house in Lima, for the girls of the street. It was going to be named “Veronica’s House” in her honor. Soon it is a reality.

With great effort from Generacion and our partner, not for sale, veronicas house litle by litle is turning in a new house for the young girls and teenager living in the streets. Everybody is giving a hand, voulenteers, Genracions workers and the children og Generacion, those living in the house and those still getting trough life in the streets.
