For the last couple of years the children of Generacion, once a year have been a part of a theatre program. Children from the house I San Batolo and the children of the streets, whom many of them used to live in on of the houses of Generacion, participate in this program. The woman in charge is Sabine Vess who comes from Holland/Nederland. Over the last years the children and Sabine have been working a different theatres, some of them whit a manuscript that the children have been righting them selves whit a little help. There are always a lot of people wanting to help and many teachers de other countries have been joining to help with the process. Every year the children have given a beautiful performance in “Nana de la calle”. The plays are about the children’s lives showing all the different perspectives of the streetlife.

The idea of the project is to let the children express their story and giving them the free speech to tell about their rights as children. The theatre also makes the children think about their life that can lead to the child wanting to change their life. Because of that and in the light of the length of the program (it runs every year to months) it prevents the consuming of drugs. Another perspective is the preventing of gangs, as the children meets and work together despite earlier problems.
